For over half a century, the Handler Brand has been synonymous with the development, management and leasing of premium real estate in New York City and throughout the country. Recently the company expanded its activities and currently is invested in over 100 commercial, residential and industrial properties in the New York metropolitan area and throughout the country.

The Handler Organization traces its roots to its founder Jerry S. Handler, who for more than a quarter century was one of the principal partners of Newmark & Company and one of the “true giants” of the New York City commercial real estate community. In 1979, he formed Handro Properties and subsequently established Handler Real Estate Services (HRES), its Leasing and Consulting Division and Handro Management Group (HMG), its Management Division.

Today, we own and manage properties for our own account and operate a thriving brokerage. Our tenant representation, consulting practices and investment portfolio are rapidly growing.

Handler Investment Properties

In 2013, the company entered the investment arena  and created a separate entity, ESSH Investments LLC, to expand investments outside of our core portfolio. Since that time we have participated in over 100 unique investments (as of June 1, 2019) across office, multifamily, self-storage, and student housing sectors. We continue to actively seek diverse equity and debt investment opportunities where our knowledge, insight, and experience add value to the partnerships.
